Obituary of Andrea Sue Heery

Andrea “Andie” Heery (née Dolin) of Danbury, CT passed away at home on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the age of 65.

 

Andie was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 2, 1956.  She spent her childhood in Cherry Hill, NJ before attending Rider University.  After college she found joy in spending time on the beach as well as residing in Atlantic City with her family.  She married her husband Paul on May 4, 1980.

 

After purchasing their first house together, Andie decided that she “could do that” and applied for her real estate license.  It was the start of her long career in the industry, and through the years she helped countless individuals and families buy and sell their dream homes as well as provided advice, opinions, and moral support for those going through the home buying process.  Andie received numerous awards during her career as a Realtor.

 

Andie enjoyed traveling with her husband, exploring the wine trails of Connecticut and New York, nights out with her bowling league, and time in the dirt with her plants and the Redding Garden Club.  She didn’t let her cancer diagnosis deter her from continuing to do what she loved throughout the years of her treatment.

 

She is survived by her husband Paul; mother Rhoda Dolin (Lottman); daughter Karen Fey (Heery) and husband Charles; son Evan and wife Juliet (Fiege); grandchildren Charlie Fey and Dorothy Fey; brother Michael Dolin; and cats Steve, Ben, and Harry.  She was predeceased by her father, Louis Dolin.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Ann’s Place of Danbury, CT. A casual gathering of friends and family in remembrance will be held at a date and location to be determined.  Arrangements are under the direction of Sholom Funeral Chapel.
