Obituary of Alan Warner

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, Alan Warner, a beloved father and grandfather, peacefully passed away. He was eighty-six. Raised in Lawrence, New York, Alan graduated from Chesire Academy and the Wharton School of Universtity of Pennsylavania at twenty years old. Alan then followed in his father’s footsteps and became a CPA and entrepreneur. After working as a CPA in New York City, Alan married and welcomed his daughter, Lisa. 

 

Alan was known for his quick-whitted humor, generosity to friends and charities, and his love for family. Alan made every moment count. He spent many nights at The White House, attended presidential ignaugurations, was the CPA for Willie Mays, and met Muhammad Ali. Alan continuously said, “I can’t make this stuff up.” After retiring, he shared his love for horses and Sunday football with his granddaughters and started riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. 

 

Alan is survived by his beloved daughter, Lisa(Rich) and three granddaughers, Lindsay, Ashley, and Kylie. He was preceded by his parents, Harry and Ida Warshawsky and his wife, Linda Leventhal Warner. 

The funeral will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 11:00a.m. graveside at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport, Connecticut. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to The Conservative Synagogue (TCS) of Westport, Connecticut.
