Obituary of Bernard L. Bloom
Bernard Bloom, age 92, of Trumbull, formerly of Stamford, passed away May 21, 2021. He was born September 2, 1928 in Peekskill, NY, son of Jesse and Ida Bloom.
He graduated from Peekskill High School in 1947. He served with the US Navy during the Korean War. He married Janet Levine in November 1958. They celebrated 62 years of marriage.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Jeremy Alex Presser. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Levine) Bloom, daughters, Karen (Dan) Sullivan of Columbus OH, and Jessica (Michael) Presser of Trumbull. Granddaughters, Ally and Rachael Sullivan. Jamie and Jillian Presser.
A graveside service was held at Temple Beth El on May 25. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital at stjude.org or The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp at holeinthewallgang.org
